Pedro Cortes, was born in Bogota, Colombia. In 2005 he moved to Toronto with his family after receiving their resident visa. He worked in Colombia with the biggest soft drinks companies Postobon (PepsiCo) and Coca-Cola. In 2006, he began his career as a financial advisor with Sun Life Financial and in 2011 he was promoted as a Sales Manager in one of the branches of Sun Life Financial. Pedro was also the wealth champion for this branch and he managed hundreds of millions in assets under management as well as thousands of clients.
In 2013, he obtained the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and joint the group of professional financial advisors specializing in developing effective solutions for individuals, business owners and professionals in the areas of income replacement, risk management, estate planning, and wealth transfer. For more than 80 years, the CLU designation has been widely recognized as a mark of excellence in this industry.
After 2013, Pedro worked together with dentists and small business owners obtaining successful results. This was one of the main reasons why Pedro decided to start his own company, looking to work with many immigrants professional and small business owners like himself.
